Los Angeles, California. What used to be the dream city, laid in ruins. Demons and vampires walked the street, making it theirs. Any human that had survived the fight was in hiding or long gone from the City of Angels. What fight? The fight between Angel and his friends, against Wolfram and Hart. For the first hour, they had been able to hold their own. But the evil forces were slowly winning. And then a prayer seemed to be answered. In the midst of the demons, and all the other forces that Wolfram and Hart could throw at them, there was a woman. A blonde holding a scythe. At first, the demons didn't take notice. But when the dozens of girls behind this woman gave a roar, the demons paid attention. It was Buffy, the gang, and the newly made Slayers. For hours, the battle raged furiously on. Buffy, Faith, Angel, Illyria, Giles, Willow, Andrew, Dawn, Xander, Spike, Gunn, and the Slayers all fought with everything they had.
It wasn't enough.
The fight continued until half of the evil forces were taken down. The gang retreated, knowing that it was useless. The fight had been difficult. And they had lost numerous people. Gunn, and at least fifty other girls were dead. And Giles was no where to be sighted or found. By this time, the streets of Los Angeles were in tatters. Los Angeles looked like a war zone. The sun was blocked out, vampires and demons walked the streets freely, and hundreds of carnages littered the ground. Most of the buildings were in ruins, but the gang found a warehouse.
Little did they know, that the forces at work were much bigger than the war in Los Angeles. The First evil was back. And it was pissed. So, it decided to wound the gang in the worst way possible. It had its minions capture Angel and Spike, and ridded of their souls. Not only to hurt, but to distract for an ulterior motive. With Angelus and Spike running about, mocking the gang, the First is given access to arise the Old Ones. The Powers That Be wanted to balance this out, so they made a pact. They would resurrect three white hats. Cordelia, Wesley, and Tara. But to balance this, they had to counter with the most evil being they could think of. And that was Darla.
During all of this, the gang still wasn't able to find Giles. What had happened to him? During the battle, he had been sired. Rupert Giles was now a vampire. And one of the most dangerous at that. He was the one who taught Buffy everything she knew. And with this knowledge, the First decided that Giles would be a valuable asset. So, The First gave Giles countless powers that even Caleb hadn't been blessed with. Giles was given title as the strongest vampire there was. The First made him the Master, or King, of the vampires. Angelus, Spike, and Darla were even told to follow his orders.
After a realization of how powerful an ally Willow Rosenburg seemed to be to our champions, the First, instead of approaching her decease, has leached into the redhead, corrupting her. Under the influence, Willow zones both in and out of her darkness, oblivious, even as she begins carelessly using her magics again, to the fact she is behind many occurances. Such as how the thousands slayers across the world are suddenly normal potentials, lacking in all inhuman strength. She gave them power and she was responcible for taking it back. The only two Slayers that seem to be impervious to whatever is causing this, are Buffy and Faith. But how long will that last?
The gang is at a crossroad. They are dwindling in numbers. Now, all they have left is Buffy, Xander, Faith, Cordelia, Wesley, Tara, Andrew, Dawn, Illyria, and a few other potentials. Willow is losing control of herself completely, and is blacking out more often. During said black outs, she reverts back to the dark side, and when she wakes up, she has no recollection of the things she does. Angelus, Darla, and Spike are on the loose, and are determined to cause them as much pain as possible. And the worst of it all? Giles is a vampire. The strongest there is. And the First has given him one mission. To bring Buffy Summers, and anyone associated with her, down.
